Hong Kong – 31 May 2018 – In anticipation for the launch of summer blockbuster Doraemon the Movie 2018: Nobita's Treasure Island, Star Cruises launches “Treasure Hunt at Sea with Doraemon” on SuperStar Virgo, SuperStar Aquarius and SuperStar Gemini. From 29 June to end of November, fans of Doraemon will have exclusive access to the special “Anywhere Door” at sea, which will lead to a delightful experience comprised of limited-edition gift sets, special in-cabin décor and menus, as well as interactive workshops and photo corners with Doraemon and friends.

In Doraemon the Movie 2018: Nobita’s Treasure Island, Doraemon, Nobita and friends set out on an adventure at sea in search of the mysterious Treasure Island, through which they learn to appreciate the values of friendship and bravery. This summer, Star Cruises invites guests to unleash the inner child in them and join Doraemon on a fun-filled adventure at sea of their own.

Guests will be fully emerged in the world of Doraemon upon embarkation – the interactive photo corner will be the main attraction in the lobby, where guests can have photos and selfies with their favourite characters. In addition to Dorayaki, which is Doraemon’s favourite snack, guests will also enjoy a great variety of summer delights including jelly, cookies, pizza and ice-cream, with the company of Doraemon and friends.

Junior Cruiser Program, the signature children’s program of Star Cruises, will return this summer with special activities curated based on the Doraemon movie, where children will learn Doraemon’s language (Japanese), dance to the theme songs of Doraemon animations, challenge their memory with Doraemon card games and more.

From now until November, guests who make bookings of balcony cabin category and above will receive a complimentary limited-edition Doraemon gift set, as well as a chance to enjoy their voyage at sea in one of the selected balcony cabins, where the in-cabin décor will be revamped with Doraemon bedding and accessories.

Star Cruises presents multiple summer cruises from various homeports to Doraemon’s homeland – Japan. From now until 29 July, SuperStar Virgo will depart from her homeport in Keelung, Taiwan to Miyakojima, Naha and Osaka. From 29 July to 8 September, SuperStar Virgo will return to her Shanghai homeport with the award-winning 8D7N “Golden Sea Route” summer itinerary to Osaka, Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Kagoshima, as well as new itineraries with ports of call in Kobe, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Naha and Miyakojima.

SuperStar Aquarius will make her homeport debut in Qingdao on 13 June, where guests from Northern China will enjoy cruise voyages to Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Sasebo and Beppu; she will be back to her dual homeports in Kaohsiung and Keelung, Taiwan from 4 July onwards. From now until end of October, SuperStar Gemini will be homeported in Xiamen, taking guests from Fujian, Northern Guangdong and surrounding areas to scenic destinations in Japan and the Philippines.
