Sanya, China – 31 January 2018 – With the success of the first-ever “Floating Hotel” concept in Sanya, Star Cruises has announced that SuperStar Gemini will continue her Hainan homeport deployment with the launch of “Jewels of the South China Sea 2018” from 16 February to 27 March 2018, taking guests on alternating 5-night journeys to Vietnam and the Philippines from Sanya or Haikou, as well as 2-night itineraries to Danang or Halong Bay in Vietnam.

“Following on the successful launch of our Golden Sea Route in summer 2017, which was recognized with the Best Itinerary Award at the Shanghai Cruise Tourism Festival, Star Cruises is continuing its commitment to the Chinese market with the development of innovative itineraries in 2018,” said Mr. Ang Moo Lim, President of Star Cruises. “Hainan Island is the destination of choice for winter escapes in China, and we are pleased to introduce our new Jewels of the South China Sea 2018 – Winter Escapades series, comprised of specially curated itineraries departing from Hainan with exciting ports of call in Vietnam and the Philippines.”

As the first international cruise company to homeport in Hainan, Star Cruises has had a long and illustrious relationship with this idyllic island. This year, SuperStar Gemini will return to Hainan once again to welcome guests old and new on exciting journeys to exotic destinations.
